Ingredients
1. 6 slice bread
2. 200 grams chicken mince
3. 1 large boiled potato
4. 1 red onion
5. 5 garlic cloves
6. 1 inch ginger
7. ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
8. ½ teaspoon coriander powder
9. ½ teaspoon cumin powder
10. ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
11. As needed salt
12. As needed oil for deep fry
Preparation:
1. Curry paste: In a food processor blitz the onion, ginger and garlic together to a fine paste.
2. Prepare a bowl of warm water
Method
Chicken filling
Ø In a medium pot heat 3 tablespoon of oil.
Ø Then add the curry paste & fry until the raw smell of the paste completely disappears & oil becomes to leave the sides of the pan.
Ø Add the dry spice powders and fry for another 2 minutes
Ø Add salt as required
Ø Add chicken mince and fry until its very well cooked, oil will begins to ooze out when the mince is fried very well.
Ø Add the boiled potato and mix well. Cook for another 3 minutes
Ø Adjust salt if needed
Ø Remove it off the heat and set it aside
Chop
Ø Cut the hard edges of the bread slices and soak them in water.
Ø Remove immediately and press to drain the water from the slices.
Ø Stuff one bread slice with 1 and ½ tablespoon of the filling. Press with the help of your palm to make cylindrical shape. Ensure all the mixture is covered with bread.
Ø Repeat the process to make the other balls.
Ø Heat oil in a pan. Dip the bread balls into the gram flour solution and pour on the heated oil.
Ø Deep fry till they turn golden brown.
Ø Serve with some Tamarind Chutney
